Pike's Peak and the Cog Railroad

Today, Grandma treated the Boys and I to a ride on the Cog Railroad which goes up Pike's Peak.  We couldn't go all the way to the top because of the weather, but it was really fun.  Did you know "America the Beautiful" was written by a teacher who wrote a poem when observing from Pike's Peak . . . fun fact!

 "All Aboard!"

What a fun day!

Playdate with Cousins

The Boys, Cousins, Grandma and I went for a fun outing to Chuckie Cheese.

Valentine's Day 2013

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend either of the boys' Valentine's Parties and didn't get any pictures, but I thought I'd show you their Valentines they gave to their classmates.  They turned out really cute!
See how it looks like they are handing their friends a sucker!

100th Day of Kindergarten

Last Thursday was Joe's 100th Day of Kindergarten.  The night before Joe said to me, "Mama, tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life!"  Oh to be young!
Joe's teacher let Jack come too!  I love this picture!

Grandma and Grandpa volunteered

Joe made a Lego set with exactly 100 pieces for his 100th Day project.

Sledding

We were able to go sledding at a local school while there was still snow on the ground.  It was actually the first time the boys have been.  I think they really had a lot of fun . . . even Josh went for a couple runs down the hill.

New Years Eve 2012

For New Year's Eve, we went to Josh's parents house and were lucky to spend time with grandparents, Josh's sister and family and brother and family.  Happy New Year!
The first pictures are all of the kids having fun together and anticipating the "Ball Drop" in New York.

Homemade Gifts

So, I've always believed some of the best gifts you can give or receive are ones made from the heart.  I wanted to share some from this Christmas.
This is a video Josh made with the boys, singing me the song I sing to them at bedtime.
A picture collage Josh made me of the boys.

A swag my mom and the boys made for Josh and I.

A game I made for the family modeled after Candyland.

Snowman hand prints the boys made for Grandparents.

The hand print Joe made at school for Papa and I.

The name plaque my Aunt made for our family that showed how the boys' first and middle names relate to scripture.
